Your first 10 minutes with My Contact Base: from signing up to your contacts on your phone.

1. Sign up

Go to app.mycontactbase.ai and press Start free. Type your name, your email, a password and a name for your workspace (your family name or your business name works well).

The Free plan needs no card and has no time limit: one person, one Circle and 100 people. Every paid plan starts with 30 days free. See the plans.

2. Make your first Circle

A Circle is an address book with a fence around it. Most people start with one, for example “Family” or “Clients”, and add more later.

Open your account menu (your initial, top right), then Manage Circles, and press New Circle. More about Circles.

3. Bring in your contacts

There are three easy ways:

  • Type them in: on the Dashboard, under Add, press Person.
  • Take a photo of a business card and let AI read it.
  • Bring in a spreadsheet (a CSV file) from Outlook, Google or another program.

4. Sort them into groups

Groups are like labels: “Neighbours”, “Suppliers”, “School”. One person can be in as many groups as you like.

Pick groups when you add or edit someone, or tick many people at once in the Bulk editor. More about groups.

5. Put them on your phone

On a paid plan, Phone Sync puts your Circles in your phone’s own Contacts app, so you see who is calling. It takes about two minutes to set up.

Finding your way around

  • The bar at the top: Dashboard, People, Organizations, Groups, Email, Documents and Reports. On a phone it sits at the bottom, with More for the rest.
  • The Circle picker, at the top, switches between your Circles.
  • Your account menu, your initial at the top right, holds everything else: your Circles, your team, Import, Phone Sync and your account.
  • The ? next to each screen’s title opens help for that screen.

Look around first

The live demo opens the real app with the U.S. Government Circle: every member of Congress, in groups. You can look at everything, and nothing can be changed.
